Dylan using one of his knives to make a hand blender in Awajún land, Peruvian Amazon.
He also taught some of the Awajún men how to best sharpen their knives. They invited him to do a workshop on the next trip, to teach them how to make their own custom knives that could last them a lifetime from old car parts and other reclaimed metals.
“This is one of the things that I truly respect about Dylan. He’s not just dinking around in the back yard, or only ever using his knives to open mail. He is actually in the bush, out in the world using his tools. Nothing beats experience and knowledge gained like that.” ~ Chris Zaccara
